AD Ports Group has launched an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered business intelligence headquarters (IHQ) that will be used across 20 workstreams covering its ports, logistics, shipping, free zones and digital businesses. The platform will introduce thousands of AI-powered digital workers to support daily operations, with the aim of improving efficiency, decision-making and customer services across the group's global network.

The rollout is expected to help automate routine tasks, improve planning, reduce processing times and support faster movement of goods through ports and logistics operations. Wider use of AI could also help businesses respond more quickly to changing supply chain demands while improving the use of operational data.

According to AD Ports Group, IHQ already includes AI applications for port and berth planning, vessel arrival management, software development and recruitment. More AI-powered functions will be added over the coming months as the platform expands across the organisation.

Managing Director and Group CEO Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi said the platform builds on the group's digital investments and is designed to strengthen its operations through AI. The initiative also supports the UAE's National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims to increase AI adoption across key industries.
