Al Sharqi Shipping has opened an AED 70 million integrated logistics and distribution facility at Dubai Industrial City, adding temperature-controlled storage and truck-handling capacity to support food, retail and manufacturing supply chains across the UAE and wider region.

The facility has 280,000 sq ft of built-up storage, 200,000 sq ft of open yard space and 22,000 palletised tonnes of storage at temperatures ranging from ambient to -18°C. It also has 38 loading lanes and can handle up to 178 trucks a day.

The facility will serve food and beverage, fast-moving consumer goods, hotels, restaurants, quick-commerce and manufacturing businesses. Its temperature-controlled storage will support goods that require different storage conditions, while its loading capacity will help businesses manage distribution volumes.

Asif Rafiq, Chief Operating Officer of Al Sharqi Shipping, said: “The opening of our new facility at Dubai Industrial City will support the next phase of our growth, particularly in multi-temperature-controlled logistics, regional distribution, and integrated supply-chain solutions.”

Located near Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport and an Etihad Rail freight terminal, the site offers access to major transport links for domestic and international cargo movement.
