Noatum Logistics and Al Dahra have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore food logistics across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman. The deal covers inland transport, cargo handling and distribution of food commodities.
The move aims to improve how food is moved within the region. Stronger inland transport and handling can reduce delays, especially for bulk food shipments. This is important as Gulf countries rely on steady imports and need reliable supply chains.
If implemented, the plan could link ports more closely with inland storage and distribution networks. This would help move goods faster from arrival points to farms, silos and markets. It may also reduce costs by cutting inefficiencies in the system.
The agreement reflects a broader focus on food security in the region, with companies working to make supply chains more stable and less exposed to disruption.
