Oman Air adds 5 new routes to boost capacity

Oman Air has launched five new routes in one week, adding Singapore, Tashkent, Sochi, Abu Dhabi and a Salalah-Dubai service to its network. The expansion increases cargo capacity and improves connectivity for shipments moving between Oman and key regional and Asian markets.

The new routes, operated with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, are expected to support faster movement of perishables, high-value goods and other time-sensitive cargo. They also provide shippers with more routing options and better access to growing trade markets across Asia.

Among the additions, the Muscat-Singapore route will operate four times a week, giving customers direct access to one of Asia's largest air cargo hubs and its onward global connections. The Muscat-Tashkent service will operate twice weekly, creating new links with the Central Asian market and supporting trade in perishables and other cargo.

"The five new destinations strengthen the options available to our cargo customers, providing greater connectivity across Asia while supporting the efficient movement of time-sensitive and high-value shipments," said Michael Duggan, Head of Cargo at Oman Air.

The remaining new services include daily flights to Abu Dhabi, three weekly flights between Salalah and Dubai, and a weekly service to Sochi. The expanded network is expected to improve regional connectivity and support growing trade flows between Oman and Asia.
