Oman Air Cargo will add four weekly cargo flights between Muscat and Singapore from 2 July 2026, marking a steady expansion of its Asia-Pacific network. The flights will be operated using a Boeing 737 MAX and are aimed at meeting growing demand on east–west trade routes.
"As we expand our Asia-Pacific network, our new Singapore service will provide access to one of the world’s most important cargo gateways,” said Michael Duggan, Head of Cargo, Oman Air.
Singapore is one of Asia’s main cargo hubs, and the new route will give shippers easier access to Southeast Asia and onward connections across the wider Asia-Pacific region. For Oman, the service strengthens trade links with a market that handles large volumes of high-value and time-sensitive goods.
According to Oman Air Cargo, the route is expected to carry a mix of cargo. Imports into Oman will mainly include high-tech consumer products, while exports will focus on perishable goods such as fresh produce. The service also adds capacity for cargo moving from Europe through Muscat, including flowers from Amsterdam, as well as automotive parts and fashion items.
The airline says the Singapore flights will also support Muscat’s role as a connecting hub between the Middle East and Asia. The move follows recent steps by Oman Air Cargo to widen its reach, including appointing new general sales agents and opening additional offline routes to markets such as Australia and Japan. With this launch, the carrier continues to build its presence in Asia without making large changes to its existing fleet or network structure.
