Oman, Dubai Chambers boost Trade Logistics

The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Dubai Chambers have reinforced economic ties, spotlighting trade facilitation and logistics collaboration as key drivers of bilateral growth. The discussions took place during an official visit to Sohar, focusing on unlocking strategic partnerships to enhance supply chains and private sector competitiveness across the UAE and Oman. During the visit, Mohammed Ali Rashed Lootah, CEO of Dubai Chambers, led a delegation to North Al Batinah, where investment potential and logistics infrastructure were presented by Eng. Said Ali Al Abri, Member of the Board of Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Chamber’s branch in North Al Batinah Governorate. Emphasis was placed on the role of Sohar Industrial City and Sohar Port and Freezone as critical enablers of regional trade, supported by ongoing expansion and investor-friendly policies. Lootah highlighted that cooperation between Dubai Chambers and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry reflects deep-rooted fraternal ties, adding that enhancing intra-regional trade and strengthening supply chains can unlock new partnership opportunities for both business communities. The delegation also reviewed major industrial and economic projects, underlining Sohar’s emergence as a regional logistics powerhouse, capable of supporting diversified trade routes and fostering sustainable economic growth through integrated infrastructure and cross-border collaboration.
