Oman, Nepal set to expand trade links

Oman and Nepal are set to expand trade links by strengthening cooperation in logistics, supply chains and movement of goods between the two markets.

The focus is on improving trade connectivity and creating opportunities for businesses in areas such as food products, beverages and other key sectors. Stronger supply chain links could help companies access new markets while supporting smoother cargo movement between Nepal, Oman and the wider region.

Oman’s strategic location on the Arabian Sea provides connectivity to major markets across Asia, Africa and the Middle East, while Nepal has export potential in products including tea, coffee, spices, organic goods and handicrafts.

“Direct communication between business leaders helps identify areas of cooperation, strengthen trade relations and create partnerships that serve mutual interests,” said Bishesh Kumar Sah, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Nepal in Oman.

The move comes as both countries look to enhance private-sector participation and build stronger commercial connections through improved trade and logistics networks.
