A pact was inked with Odys Aviation for Oman’s PoC Programme for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). As per its terms, Odys Aviation’s Laila hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft will be the flagship model for trial operations in Q1 2026. Designed for vertical take-off and landing, extended range, and high payload capacity, the aircraft will be tested in real-world environments. “This partnership represents a strategic step in the trajectory of Oman’s civil aviation sector,” said Eng Nayef bin Ali al Abri, Chairman, Civil Aviation Authority. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Ministry of Transport, Communications & Information Technology have signed the deal with Odys Aviation for Oman’s POC Programme.
