OQ, DHL partner to introduce SAF for Oman cargo shipments

OQ has joined DHL Express’ GoGreen Plus programme to introduce SAF for cargo shipments entering and leaving Oman, as per a press release. The initiative supports OQ’s carbon neutrality goals and marks a key step in reducing logistics-related emissions. SAF, derived from renewable sources like used cooking oil and sugarcane, can cut carbon emissions by up to 30% compared to traditional jet fuel. By joining GoGreen Plus, OQ reaffirms its role as a future-focused energy company that places sustainability at the core of its operations. The programme has recently received a sustainability award, recognizing its environmental value and role in advancing greener supply chain solutions, the release added.
