Pentagon adopts AI for JAFZA warehouse

UAE-based Pentagon Freight Services has selected AI platform provider Ripple to automate customs processing and warehouse operations at its Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) facility, targeting manual work linked to oilfield equipment and pipe shipments.
The system will process commercial invoices, packing lists and customs documents, while tracking oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and other equipment held at the site. It will also automate storage reports and billing, helping reduce manual data entry and improve inventory accuracy.
The move aims to help Pentagon manage complex cargo and customs requirements more efficiently. Customers will be able to check stock levels and customs information, while digital records will track goods from arrival to dispatch.
“Our JAFZA operation manages large volumes of high-value OCTG and oilfield equipment for customers who need accurate, real-time visibility of their stock and customs position,” said Alex Lewis, area director for the Middle East and India at Pentagon.
The deployment extends Ripple’s existing work with Pentagon in the UK into the UAE, bringing AI-based automation to energy logistics operations.
