Qatar’s air cargo sector posted steady gains in July 2025 with volumes rising to 224,144 tonnes from 222,415 tonnes a year earlier — marking a 0.8% year-on-year increase — according to preliminary data from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA). Industry experts say the growth underscores the country’s expanding role in regional and global trade. Significant investments in modernised logistics facilities have  enabled faster handling and distribution of goods — making Qatar a competitive hub for high-value shipments. “We are witnessing consistent growth across all major indicators,” said Khamis Abdullah Alkhelaifi, Ground Instructor at International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In the cargo sector, efficiency and reliability are as important as speed. Qatar’s logistics infrastructure now competes with the best in the region, and that’s attracting more high-value shipments,” he added.
