Qatar Airways will launch three weekly flights between Doha and Western Sydney International Airport from 15 December 2027, creating a new air cargo link for exporters in New South Wales to reach markets in the Gulf and beyond.

The service will use Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and connect Western Sydney with Qatar Airways’ hub at Hamad International Airport. The route will add cargo capacity and provide exporters with another option for moving goods to international markets.

The airline plans to increase the service gradually to daily flights, which would further expand cargo connectivity between Australia, Qatar and other regions.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Hamad Al Khater said the route would give exporters across New South Wales a direct cargo link to customers in the Gulf and beyond.

The new service will complement the wider Qatar Airways–Virgin Australia partnership and support the development of international connections across Australia.

Western Sydney International Airport’s 24-hour operating capacity will allow airlines to schedule flights beyond traditional airport operating hours, providing greater flexibility for cargo operations and helping businesses connect with overseas markets.
