Qatar and Russia are looking to strengthen trade, logistics, and supply chain connections as both countries seek to expand economic ties. Russian companies from the Novgorod Region, located between Moscow and St. Petersburg, are exploring opportunities to supply products to Qatar, including metals, automotive parts, oil and gas equipment, food processing, and advanced technology solutions.

Highlighting the region’s industrial potential, Evgenii Bogdanov, first deputy governor of the Novgorod Region, said, “The Novgorod Region is witnessing significant industrial development and Russian companies are eager to enter the Qatari market and supply their products.”

Qatari investors are increasingly interested in sourcing from Russia, with 58 Russian companies already operating in the Qatari market, either independently or in partnership with local firms. Key sectors for cooperation include energy, advanced manufacturing, logistics, food security, and infrastructure.

The Novgorod Region’s strategic location supports efficient supply chain links to global markets, making it an attractive hub for Qatari companies expanding their sourcing and logistics networks. Strengthening trade channels and investing in transport, warehousing, and supply chain infrastructure are expected to improve efficiency and support Qatar’s goal of a resilient, diversified supply ecosystem.
