Qatar, Saudi Arabia enhance cross-border trade

Qatar and Saudi Arabia are working to improve cross-border trade flows by simplifying customs procedures, strengthening logistics services and improving coordination between relevant authorities. The move is expected to support faster movement of goods between the two countries and improve supply chain efficiency for businesses involved in bilateral trade.

The cooperation will focus on improving trade facilitation, customs processes and logistics operations, helping reduce delays and create smoother cargo movement across the Qatar-Saudi Arabia trade route. Better coordination can also support businesses by improving reliability and efficiency in regional supply chains.

Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, Qatar said the cooperation will help strengthen trade links and support efforts to improve the movement of goods between both countries.

The initiative is part of wider efforts by Qatar and Saudi Arabia to increase trade volumes and enhance economic cooperation. By improving customs efficiency and logistics connectivity, both countries aim to create more streamlined trade routes and support stronger regional supply chains.
