Qatar Airways Cargo (QR Cargo) has announced a capacity boost on its Doha–Kathmandu route, doubling weekly cargo uplift to 300 tonnes each way, beginning 22 September. The airline will also increase pax frequencies from 14 to 26 per week. “This expansion reinforces our commitment to supporting businesses and trade with flexible uplift options,” stated QR Cargo. More belly-hold space is being provided to support importers and exporters in Qatar and Nepal. Kathmandu is a vital gateway for perishables and textiles and will benefit from the added capacity. The move comes as demand for air freight solutions across South Asia continues to align with QR Cargo’s strategy to enhance global connectivity and offer agile logistics services.
