Regional vaccine hub to strengthen pharma air cargo

Abu Dhabi has launched a major regional vaccine distribution hub in KEZAD, operated by Rafed, marking a milestone in pharmaceutical air cargo and supply chain logistics, said His Excellency Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary, Department of Health- Abu Dhabi. The fully operational facility has already received its first shipments and will distribute over 20 types of vaccines across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. Developed in partnership with GSK, AD Ports Group, and Etihad Cargo, the hub is integrated into the HELM life sciences cluster. This also marks GSK’s first distribution centre in the region and fourth globally, cementing Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading airfreight and healthcare logistics hub, he added.
