SAL, Saudi Post sign mail cargo deal

SAL Saudi Logistics Services Company has signed an agreement with Saudi Post (SPL) to manage postal cargo handling and transport across Saudi Arabia. The deal covers mail movements between warehouses, postal facilities and aircraft, with the final contract value depending on demand and agreed service rates.
Under the agreement, SAL will oversee mail handling from the time shipments arrive. It will also prepare dedicated unit load devices for postal cargo and manage the safe storage and transport of shipments.
The arrangement aims to improve express mail operations by linking postal services more closely with air cargo and logistics operations. Better coordination between facilities and aircraft can help streamline shipment movements and improve the handling of time-sensitive mail across the Kingdom.
SAL expects the agreement to begin contributing positively to its financial results from the date of signing in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The agreement comes as postal and logistics operators look to improve the movement of shipments across domestic networks, particularly as demand for express delivery services grows.
