SCZONE, USA strengthen logistics partnership

The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) and the US Department of Commerce are expanding logistics cooperation to attract investment and strengthen supply chain connectivity across the Middle East and North Africa region. The initiative aims to support logistics and industrial growth by promoting SCZONE as a location for companies seeking access to Middle Eastern and global markets.

SCZONE’s integrated model connects industrial zones with ports on the Mediterranean and Red seas, allowing companies to combine manufacturing, storage and distribution operations within one location.

The zone’s strategic location, supported by Egypt’s international trade agreements, provides investors with access to major consumer markets. SCZONE also offers digital platforms and logistics services designed to support trade operations and industrial activities.

Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of SCZONE said the authority is looking to increase cooperation with US companies involved in industrial and logistics sectors. The zone also plans to promote investment opportunities in the US during the current fiscal year.

The move comes as Egypt strengthens its role as a logistics gateway between Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East through investments in ports, infrastructure and supply chain networks.
