SGL launches ops in Egypt to enhance presence in MENAT

Scan Global Logistics (SGL) has announced the launch of its new operations in Egypt, marking a significant step in its expansion across the Middle East, North Africa, Türkiye (MENAT) region, said Allan Melgaard, Global CEO, SGL. The expansion aligns with the firm’s vision to lead the logistics sector in the region through customer-focused solutions. “We are excited to strengthen our presence in MENAT by expanding into Egypt,” he said. The new head office, located at the City Stars Complex in Cairo, strengthens SGL’s existing footprint in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Türkiye. Plans are afoot to set up more branches in the next year, as part of the company’s regional growth strategy. Egypt’s location — linking Africa, the Middle East, and Europe — alongside the Suez Canal, positions it as a key logistics gateway.
