Sharjah Media City (Shams) has signed an agreement with DHL Express UAE to improve logistics services for small businesses. The deal will give Shams-registered companies access to faster shipping, international delivery services, and lower shipping rates. It also includes training sessions and support to help businesses manage supply chains better.
The partnership between Sharjah Media City and DHL Express UAE is aimed at making it easier for SMEs to move goods within the UAE and to global markets. Businesses in Shams will be able to use DHL’s network for exports and imports, which could reduce delivery times and improve reliability.
For the logistics sector, the move may increase shipment volumes from smaller companies, especially those in media and creative industries that rely on cross-border trade. Lower shipping costs and better access to global delivery networks can help SMEs scale operations and enter new markets.
The agreement also focuses on improving how businesses handle logistics, through workshops and training on supply chain practices. This could lead to more organised shipping processes and fewer delays. Overall, the partnership is expected to support smoother trade flows by helping smaller firms access structured and more efficient logistics services.
