Sharjah and Lithuania are set to strengthen trade in agriculture and food products, with logistics playing a key role in moving goods between the two markets. The focus on cargo movement and food supply chains is expected to support the flow of goods and create more opportunities for trade between the UAE and the Baltic country.

Stronger logistics links will support the transport, storage and distribution of agricultural products and food shipments. This will be important for moving goods efficiently between producers, suppliers and markets, while supporting the wider supply chain.

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Lithuanian Embassy in the UAE have identified agriculture, food industries and logistics as key areas for expanding trade.

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, said stronger links between the two countries’ business communities would help identify new trade opportunities and develop partnerships that serve their shared economic interests.

The focus on logistics also highlights the role of cargo services in supporting trade, particularly for food products that require suitable transport and storage. Better connections across the supply chain can help goods move more smoothly between markets and support importers and exporters.
