Sohar Port and Freezone handled 34 million MT of cargo in the first half of 2025, reflecting the impact of ongoing investments in capacity expansion and digitalisation, said Emil Hochsteden, CEO, Sohar Port. Sohar Freezone signed six new land lease pacts covering 92 hectares, with investments over US$1.3 billion across logistics, green manufacturing, and energy.
