SriLankan Cargo earns ISO certification for handling

SriLankan Cargo has achieved the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification for its cargo ground handling operations at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), said Chaminda Perera, Head, Cargo, SriLankan Airlines. The certification covers special cargo handling, terminal operations, warehousing, documentation, and import and export processing. The certification, granted by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI), affirms the airline’s commitment to excellence, safety, and compliance in cargo handling., stated, “Achieving ISO 9001:2015 is a testament to our dedication to maintaining world-class standards in cargo ground handling.” Since SriLankan Airlines strengthens its position as a regional logistics hub, this recognition boosts its credibility across its vast network covering the Middle East, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Australia, the release added.
