The Supply Chain Tech Summit, which was held in Dubai on 24 May 2023, had the theme ‘Forging the Tech-Driven Future’. It brought together industry experts to discuss the transformation of the supply chain sector through tech. Gulftainer’s Chief Commercial Officer, Andrew Hoad, was a key participant in a panel discussion, titled ‘Creating Resilient Supply Chains to Enable Growth Opportunities’. Hoad said, “At Gulftainer, we recognize the importance of staying at the forefront of technological advancements to optimize our supply chain processes and deliver unparalleled value to our customers.” The panel also featured experts who delved into the strategies and best practices for modernizing and optimizing legacy supply chain operations. An expert said, the AI market in supply chain is expected to reach US$14.3 billion by 2028 and by 2026, 75 per cent of organizations will use intelligent robots in their warehouses.
