Talabat Egypt has launched a large express commerce distribution centre in the Yanmu East Logistics Complex on the Cairo–Suez Road, built to handle up to 1 million items a day and support faster e-commerce deliveries across the country.
Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Egypt said the development of Egypt’s digital infrastructure, along with the growth of online platforms and mobile applications, has played a key role in attracting global companies to expand locally.
The facility is designed to strengthen e-commerce logistics by improving how online orders are stored, sorted, and delivered. It currently supports operations in 12 cities, with plans to expand to 17 cities, helping widen last-mile delivery reach.
The centre uses digital systems that link inventory, retail, and delivery operations in real time. It also uses data tools to forecast demand and manage stock more efficiently, aiming to reduce delays and improve order accuracy in online shopping.
With around 75,000 storage locations and the ability to double capacity within the same space, the hub is built to scale with growing e-commerce demand without needing major expansion. The development is expected to improve supply chain efficiency for online retail in Egypt, helping suppliers and sellers move goods faster through a more connected logistics network.
