Talal Group has broken ground on a new AED 150 million Central Distribution Centre at Dubai Industrial City, strengthening its logistics and supply chain operations in the UAE. The 350,000 sq ft facility will increase distribution capacity and improve cold chain capabilities for food and consumer goods across the region.
The temperature-controlled hub will feature 25,000 sq ft of cold storage, 43 loading bays, and a dedicated e-commerce operations centre. It will consolidate Talal Group’s logistics activities currently spread across six warehouses, helping streamline cargo movement, inventory management, and distribution processes.
Mahmood Haji Baliyil, Co-Chairman of Talal Group, said: "By bringing our logistics, retail and corporate functions together under one roof, we will improve operational efficiency, strengthen collaboration across our businesses, and enhance our ability to serve customers. The facility will also reinforce regional food supply chains through expanded cold chain capacity. We will continue our expansion across the region, leveraging Dubai Industrial City’s connectivity and industrial ecosystem to achieve our long-term ambitions.”
The facility will support the company’s growing retail and distribution network by bringing warehousing, logistics, and operational functions together at a single location. It is expected to create around 600 jobs when completed in Q3 2027.
Located at Dubai Industrial City, the centre will benefit from connectivity to key logistics infrastructure, including Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport, and the Etihad Rail freight network, supporting faster movement of goods across domestic and regional markets.
