Egyptian Group for Multi-Purpose Terminals Company (EGMPT) has signed a deal with the Türkiye-based DOGUS Company for laying the foundation stone for a Turkish logistics industrial zone in Jarjoub, as per a statement. The necessary studies for the project will be conducted in six months.
The MoU includes a period of six months to conduct all studies for the project and obtain the necessary approvals. The logistics project aims to provide 20,000 job opportunities and pump more than US$7 billion as direct investments. The project’s contract is planned to be signed before the end of this year and construction work is expected to kick off by early 2026.
