The UAE and Colombia are set to expand trade and logistics cooperation, with a focus on cargo connectivity, port operations and supply-chain services to strengthen the movement of goods between the two markets.

“Strengthening trade and logistics links between the UAE and Colombia will help create new business opportunities, improve market access and support closer cooperation in cargo and supply-chain services,” said Mohamed Abdulla Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Colombia.

The UAE’s role as a gateway to regional and international markets offers Colombian businesses access to wider trade networks, while Colombia presents opportunities for UAE companies seeking to expand their commercial reach.

Dubai Chambers supports business connections between the two countries, while DP World’s expertise in ports, logistics and supply-chain services provides a basis for exploring closer cooperation in cargo handling and trade facilitation.

Potential areas for growth include port operations, logistics, supply-chain development and cross-border trade, alongside wider investment and industrial links.

The two countries are seeking to strengthen engagement between businesses and relevant institutions to identify commercial opportunities and support trade flows.
