The UAE and Ethiopia are strengthening strategic economic cooperation focused on trade, logistics and supply chain connectivity, with growing UAE investments across agriculture, manufacturing, energy and transport. The two sides are also working to improve ports, air cargo systems and regional corridors linking Africa and the Middle East, enabling faster movement of goods and stronger trade flows.

More than 130 UAE companies are involved in over 160 projects in Ethiopia, boosting industrial and logistics capacity. The partnership is expected to improve supply chain efficiency and food security while linking production hubs in Ethiopia with UAE logistics networks and global markets. It also aims to strengthen resilience of trade routes through the Horn of Africa and Red Sea, key corridors for energy and cargo flows, reducing bottlenecks and delivery delays for businesses.

“Ethiopia and the UAE are building a partnership based on shared growth and long-term cooperation beyond trade,” said Ethiopian Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula. He added that alignment between investment and infrastructure development is opening new opportunities for regional commerce, logistics integration and sustainable supply chains across emerging markets.
