The UAE is now ranked 8th among the globalised nations, which are ranked among top 10 in the world, Amadou Diallo, CEO, DHL Global Forwarding Middle East & Africa, said. As per the latest findings from DHL’s Global Connectedness Report 2024, the UAE is on the ascendancy in global trade and connectivity.
The milestone, Diallo said, is due to the UAE’s policies and investments in technology and infrastructure. “Despite the economic turbulence, the DHL Global Connectedness report shows globalisation reached a record high in 2022 and remained close to that level in 2023.
Companies expanded their global presence and earned more sales abroad,” he added. The report details the UAE registered the maximum increase in performance since 2001, securing the top spot for rising connectedness among the 181 countries analysed.
