AD Ports Group and e& UAE have deployed a high-capacity terrestrial digital network connecting the Group’s logistics assets across Abu Dhabi, supporting faster cargo movement, real-time monitoring and automated supply chain operations. The network now stretches more than 1,000 kilometres across the Group’s infrastructure.

The system enables continuous transfer of sensor data, video feeds and Internet of Things (IoT) signals across logistics facilities, warehouses, ports and terminals. This allows operators to track cargo movements in real time, improve operational visibility and support faster decision-making across supply chain activities.

Built with low-latency connectivity, the infrastructure is designed to support AI-based operations and automated logistics processes. The network can process operational data within milliseconds, helping logistics operators respond more quickly to disruptions, equipment issues and cargo handling requirements.

Masood M. Sharif Mahmood, Group CEO of e& and CEO of e& UAE, said, “Advanced connectivity is now essential to the way major industrial and logistics hubs operate, scale and compete. With e&’s leadership in fibre connectivity, we are not just connecting infrastructure; we are shaping the future of trade, logistics, and innovation for the entire nation.”

The rollout comes at a times when logistics operators across the region increase investments in digital infrastructure to manage growing trade volumes and more complex supply chains.

The terrestrial network is also being integrated with Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity and existing radio systems to ensure continuous communication across logistics operations. The combined system is aimed at maintaining uninterrupted data flow between terminals, vessels and inland logistics assets under different operating conditions.
