ASMO has started operations at the Central Pipe Yard (CPY) in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, marking an important step in the company’s growing role in the Kingdom’s supply chain sector. Spread across more than 5 million square metres, CPY is the largest facility in ASMO’s network and one of the biggest logistics hubs in the world for pipe materials used in the oil and gas industry.

The facility plays a key role in supporting Aramco’s upstream, downstream, and major project activities. It stores and distributes Oil Country Tubular Goods and line pipes that are critical for drilling and production work. With ASMO now managing CPY, the focus is on smoother operations, better material movement, clearer inventory tracking, and timely delivery across the supply chain.

Craig Roberts, CEO of ASMO, added: “With three Aramco supply chain facilities now under our management, we have a strong foundation to unlock new opportunities of efficiencies, optimise operations and drive innovation. Our focus is on building a robust and resilient supply chain ecosystem, and we are confident that our team's expertise, combined with our investment in new technologies, will enable us to make a meaningful contribution to the supply chain landscape in the Kingdom.”

Looking ahead, ASMO plans to manage six facilities across Saudi Arabia by 2030. With expanded storage capacity and growing procurement activity, the company is working toward building a more efficient, reliable, and future-ready supply chain for the Kingdom.
