Asyad Group has acquired global logistics provider Ligentia to expand its international network and strengthen multimodal logistics services across key global markets. The deal is the group’s second international acquisition in less than two years.

“This move contributes to increasing the volume of trade exchange through maritime and airports, and opens new horizons for the Omani private sector, thereby strengthening its ability to access international markets,” said Abdulrahman Al Hatmi, Group CEO of Asyad.

The acquisition is expected to make logistics operations more connected and efficient by combining Asyad’s physical logistics assets with Ligentia’s digital platform. This includes real-time shipment tracking, planning tools, and data systems that improve coordination across supply chains.

For the logistics sector, this integration will create better visibility of cargo movement, faster decision-making, and improved reliability in cross-border trade. It will also help in smoother operations across shipping, ports, and freight forwarding activities.

By scaling its global footprint, Asyad Group aims to reduce fragmentation in logistics services and improve end-to-end supply chain efficiency. This is particularly relevant for companies managing complex international routes and multiple transport modes.
