DP World has added 700 trucks to its GCC road freight operations as part of an expansion of its land transport network. The new fleet will support domestic and cross-border cargo movement, with capacity for up to 35,000 truck trips a month across the region.

The move is expected to strengthen road connectivity between ports, warehouses and inland destinations, giving logistics operators more options for moving goods across the GCC. The expanded fleet will support first-mile, middle-mile and last-mile deliveries, helping improve cargo flow for containerised and non-containerised shipments.

The trucks will be deployed gradually across DP World’s operations and will add to its existing fleet capacity of around 3,000 truck movements a day in the region. The vehicles meet Euro V emissions standards, while the company said it is also exploring the use of greener vehicles in the future.

Ahmad Yousef Al-Hassan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC, said the investment would help strengthen the company’s multimodal network as demand for regional trade and transport services grows.

The fleet expansion comes as DP World continues to develop land freight links connecting ports and logistics hubs across the GCC, including new bonded corridors to support faster cargo movement.
