DP World to develop 2 new terminals in Fujairah

DP World has agreed to develop two new terminals in Fujairah under a 50-year concession with the Fujairah Ports Authority, expanding the UAE’s logistics network on the east coast. The project will strengthen cargo connectivity by linking Fujairah with DP World’s wider port, logistics and trade ecosystem across the UAE.

The development includes the Al Rugaylat container and multi-purpose terminal and the Dibba General Cargo terminal. The facilities will add capacity for containerised cargo, general cargo and vehicle handling, supporting a wider range of supply chain operations.

Yuvraj Narayan, Group Chief Executive Officer, DP World, said: "Fujairah strengthens what Jebel Ali already delivers — a single, global integrated platform for moving goods across global supply chains and within the UAE and beyond. With Jebel Ali operating at high utilisation, this development provides the additional capacity to support long-term growth. For cargo owners, it means greater flexibility, more choice and stronger supply chain resilience.”

The terminals will be connected to Jebel Ali through DP World’s inland logistics network and integrated with Jafza, creating stronger links between ports, logistics hubs and end markets. This will allow cargo owners to move goods more efficiently across domestic and international supply chains.

Located on the Gulf of Oman, Fujairah’s strategic position provides an alternative gateway for regional trade flows. The new facilities are expected to improve supply chain flexibility, support growing cargo demand and strengthen the UAE’s role as a logistics hub connecting Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
