Dubai Customs has launched a Corporate Resilience Program to strengthen risk management, ensure business continuity and protect Dubai’s competitiveness as a global trade hub. The initiative aims to improve readiness for geopolitical shifts, fast-changing technologies and supply chain disruptions, while building a stronger institutional framework across all departments.
Director General Abdulla Busenad said resilience is now critical for long-term performance. “Corporate resilience is no longer an administrative option but a strategic necessity to ensure sustainable performance and protect achievements,” he said, adding that the program will help the department respond quickly and effectively to global changes.
The plan links strategy with risk and opportunity management, strengthens digital systems and promotes closer coordination across sectors. Officials said resilience will become part of daily operations, not just a response during crises.
Dubai Customs handled nearly $1 trillion in trade in 2025 and processed more than 40 million customs transactions, with average clearance times of about five minutes. At Dubai International Airport, 96 million travellers were cleared, most in under ten minutes. New training programs will also be introduced to build staff skills and improve supply chain preparedness for 2026 and beyond.
