IATA: 6 ways a lithium battery certification helps businesses

In a newly launched report, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has offered freight forwarders 6 simple steps to achieve certification. “Whether the air transport of lithium batteries is already part of your organization’s offer, or you are considering incorporating it, here are six reasons becoming certified as a Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) in lithium battery handling and carriage can help you prosper,” it says. From attracting new customers to one’s business to increasing customer satisfaction, the report outlines how lithium battery handling and carriage ensures leading cargo agents continue to work with efficiency. The certification process provides a clear framework, founded on the latest regulatory requirements and industry standards, to guide an air cargo company’s actions and keep them updated. “Your actions, combined with those of the entire supply chain, help ensure safety throughout,” it states.
