Kuwait and Egypt are strengthening food logistics and supply chain cooperation as Egyptian food exports reached a record US$6.33 billion in 2025. The focus is on improving movement of food products, expanding trade routes and supporting more stable supply flows between the two markets.

The development comes as global supply chains continue to face disruptions, pushing both countries to look for more reliable and closer trade connections in food transport and distribution. The aim is to improve speed and consistency in food shipments and reduce risks linked to long and complex supply routes.

For the food logistics sector, stronger coordination can improve warehousing, shipping and distribution efficiency. It also supports better use of transport networks and helps reduce delays in moving food products across borders.

Egypt’s growing food industry base, supported by expanded production and infrastructure, is increasing export capacity to regional markets. Kuwait remains a key import hub, with demand for diversified and steady food supply chains.

“Kuwait’s cooperation with Egypt in the food sector reflects a strategic approach to strengthening supply chains and enhancing food security in both markets,” said Emad Al-Zaid, Deputy Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The linkage between Egyptian production strength and Kuwaiti distribution capacity is expected to support more efficient food logistics flows and strengthen regional food security through more stable trade routes.
