The Middle East is poised for a transformative leap in aviation, with airports in the region requiring US$ 151 billion for capacity expansion by 2040. The region’s aviation market is expected to grow to US$33.7 billion by 2029, May Ismail, Event Manager at RX, said. The 24th annual Airport Show 2025, to be held from 6 to 8 May in Dubai, will spotlight advanced technologies, biometrics, AI, and automation to enhance operations, sustainability, and aviation experience. The show will attract global stakeholders, underscoring the Middle East’s role in shaping the future of aviation through innovation and collaboration. “The Middle East is the fastest growing hub given its commitment to airport and airline development and being at the new global travel crossroads. Regional airports are leading adaptors of new technologies. Over the past 23 years, the show has proved itself to be the best platform to source everything crucial that the region’s airports, now numbering 110, require.”
