The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) in Dubai South has opened Tim Aerospace’s new aircraft maintenance facility, significantly increasing capacity for cargo aircraft checks and repairs, a release stated. The hangar can handle up to 12 narrow-body aircraft or five wide-body aircraft at a time, allowing faster turnaround for freight operators and supporting the growing demand for cargo MRO services in the region.
The new facility is one of the largest independent MRO hangars in the Middle East. It will provide cost-efficient base maintenance for both passenger and cargo fleets, including a wide range of wide-body freighters that operate through Dubai’s major logistics hubs. MBRAH officials said the expansion strengthens Dubai’s position as a regional centre for aviation and cargo operations.
The inauguration was attended by senior leaders from Dubai Aviation City Corporation, Dubai South, and Tim Aerospace, along with representatives from several airlines. Company executives said the hangar is designed to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability, supporting global cargo operators who rely on Dubai as a key transit and maintenance point. MBRAH continues to attract leading aviation and logistics companies, offering strong connectivity and specialised infrastructure that supports Dubai’s growing air cargo ecosystem.
