Oman and India are expanding their trade and logistics partnership under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Both countries are focusing on improving supply chains, increasing investment, and boosting the flow of goods and services across key sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Abdul Latheef Uppala, Board Member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, “CEPA offers a strong framework for expanding trade and creating new logistics and investment opportunities between Oman and India.”

Oman offers an investor-friendly environment and strategic economic zones, including Duqm, which are emerging as important hubs for logistics, industrial projects, and trade with India. These zones provide businesses with modern infrastructure, flexible regulatory support, and easier access to regional markets.

CEPA is helping both countries simplify trade processes, improve market access, and reduce barriers, allowing goods to move faster and more efficiently between Oman and India. The agreement also supports digital trade and export promotion, which are expected to enhance logistics networks and supply chain coordination.

The strengthened trade and logistics partnership aims to increase economic activity, improve connectivity, and ensure that goods and services continue flowing smoothly across the region, supporting businesses and strengthening ties between the two countries.
