Oman’s Asyad Group, JD.com to develop logistics facilities

Oman’s Asyad Group has signed a cooperation agreement with China’s JD.com to develop warehousing and logistics solutions in the Sultanate, with an initial focus on establishing three distribution warehouses. The facilities will be located in Muscat International Airport Free Zone, Khazaen Economic City and Sohar Free Zone.
The development is expected to expand warehousing capacity and support distribution operations serving markets across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and East Africa.
Under the agreement, Asyad Group and JD.com will also work to improve connectivity between their networks to facilitate regional distribution. The partnership includes developing digital solutions and automation for operational performance and supply chain efficiency. The agreement was among the cooperation initiatives signed during the Oman-China Investment Partnership Horizons Forum, reflecting growing collaboration between Omani and Chinese companies.
