Oman is getting ready to test a new pilotless aircraft called Laila, which can carry cargo to remote areas much faster than road transport. The aircraft can fly long distances, take off and land vertically, and carry around 60 kg of important goods, making it useful for oil fields, offshore platforms, and emergency cargo deliveries. Oman Air Cargo has expanded its global reach by signing five new General Sales Agent (GSA) partnerships, introducing two offline routes to Australia and Japan. The new offline routes will be handled by GSA Australia Cargo and World Prime Services, while three additional GSAs – Al Madinah Travel Company, MGH Logistics, and APG – will manage online routes to Kuwait, Qatar, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
