Qatar Post plans to reshape its postal operations to better support e-commerce growth by shifting towards digital systems, automated processes and integrated logistics services. The approach focuses on redesigning supply chains to handle higher parcel volumes and faster digital trade flows.

The changes are expected to support the growing e-commerce sector in Qatar and the wider region. By moving towards more automated and digitally managed operations, postal networks can reduce delivery delays, improve tracking and handle increasing cross-border shipments more efficiently. This is important as online shopping continues to grow and demand for faster delivery increases.

His Excellency Hassan Jasim Al Sayed, CEO, Qatar Post, said postal networks need to evolve into integrated logistics systems focused on parcel delivery and digital trade services, supported by digital transformation, automation, and upgraded infrastructure.

Qatar Post plans to focus future operations more on parcel delivery and digital trade services rather than traditional mail. It also aims to develop its logistics network into a more connected system that links businesses, platforms and customers through digital tools.

The shift is aimed at improving efficiency across postal supply chains and supporting smoother movement of goods within regional and international markets. It also reflects a wider trend in postal services adapting to changes in trade patterns driven by online commerce.
