The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Kingdom of Belgium is set to explore stronger cooperation in trade, logistics, and supply chain operations between the two markets. The focus is on improving business flows, expanding distribution networks, and supporting cross-border commercial activity.

The engagement is aimed at strengthening links between Sharjah-based companies and Belgian firms, particularly in areas such as logistics services, re-export operations, and trade facilitation. Better connectivity is expected to help companies move goods more efficiently between Europe and the UAE and improve access to wider regional markets.

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the Sharjah Chamber’s commitment to advancing its ambitious strategy of expanding its international partnership network and deepening cooperation with strategic economic partners and high-potential markets worldwide.

The initiative comes as both sides look to deepen commercial ties and support private sector expansion. Sharjah is positioning itself as a logistics and trade hub in the region, while Belgium serves as a key gateway into European supply chains.

The cooperation is also expected to support smoother movement of goods through ports and logistics corridors, reducing delays and improving supply chain efficiency for businesses on both sides.

Sharjah Chamber continues to expand its global partnerships to attract investment and strengthen its trade ecosystem. Belgium has been identified as an important partner in this effort due to its strong logistics infrastructure and role in European distribution networks.
