Technology plays a vital role in optimising last-mile delivery, says Francoise Russo, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Aramex. For the company, technology is integral to its operations, particularly in last mile. She explained, “We deploy it to drive operational efficiency and to improve customer experience. We leverage technologies such as maps and geocoding, live tracking, and AI, and we collaborate with top partners in this space, to enhance last-mile deliveries. These technologies enable accurate delivery windows, time definite delivery service, real-time tracking, and proactive communication with customers via chatbots and automated scheduling. We are beginning to adopt green technology to reduce carbon emissions as part of our sustainability goals,” Russo said.
