39% of EC’s FreshForward supplies comprise fruits & veg


The commodity type shipped the most of is fruit and vegetables, which make up 39% of the national cargo carrier of the UAE’s total perishables volume. Etihad Cargo ships a diverse range of perishable products, including fruits and vegetables, fish and seafood, meat, chocolate, seeds, plants, eggs and dairy, via its International Air Transport Association (IATA) CEIV Fresh-certified FreshForward product.

Designed to to make the process of moving fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, fish, meat and flowers simple FreshForward has been used by customers worldwide. The top three FreshForward countries are Kenya, The Netherlands and Australia. Fish and meat come in second, making up close to one-third of its total volume.
