AD Ports Group has announced a new inland logistics network that will connect rail-linked dry ports and cargo depots across the UAE, including facilities at KEZAD Group’s Industry City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD). The project aims to improve cargo movement between ports, industrial areas and warehouses using rail and road transport.
The network will connect important trade and industrial centres across the country. It will also support the movement of containers, industrial products and other cargo more efficiently between different locations in the UAE. Khalifa Port and Fujairah Terminals will serve as two main gateways for cargo moving through the network.
“Through establishing a consolidated, multimodal inland logistics network, anchored by the UAE’s leading industrial champions, we aim to further strengthen the UAE’s industrial logistics backbone," said Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group.
The network is also expected to support manufacturers, logistics companies and import-export businesses operating in the UAE.
The company added that the project will strengthen supply chain operations and improve cargo connectivity with regional markets. The inland logistics network is part of wider efforts to expand freight transport infrastructure in the UAE and support industrial growth and trade activities across the country.
