AJEX Logistics chosen for ‘Hajj without Baggage’ service

Updated: May 29

KSA-based AJEX Logistics Services has been chosen by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to facilitate the ‘Hajj without Baggage’ initiative for the second consecutive year. This initiative allows Hajj pilgrims to have their luggage delivered to religious sites ahead of their arrival. For 2024, AJEX has expanded its capacity to handle up to 120,000 bags and gift packages, thanks to its warehouses in Mecca, Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.

The Hajj, which begins on June 14 and ends on June 19, 2024, attracted 1.84 million pilgrims in 2023. This year’s event is expected to draw similar numbers. Last year, AJEX had transported 20,000 bags with no losses or damage or customer complaints. “Following the success of the ‘Hajj without Baggage’ initiative last year, AJEX is proud to be participating again, providing essential services to KSA’s religious pilgrims,” said Maha Almadi, Regional Sales, Special Projects Manager, AJEX. “We have expanded our services to add more locations for baggage drop-off and collection.”
