Amazon has inaugurated its first logistics centre in Abu Dhabi. The launch comes in partnership with Abu Dhabi Customs, whose streamlined clearance procedures, combined with Amazon’s advanced technologies and automated operations, will enable faster deliveries, including same-day service, across the UAE. Located in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), the facility is designed to enhance fulfilment capabilities, expand product availability, and support SMEs seeking to scale in the digital economy, as per a press release. With storage capacity for millions of units, the centre will serve as a backbone for sellers using Fulfilled by Amazon, providing integrated storage, picking, packing, and shipping solutions. Abu Dhabi Customs reaffirmed its commitment to advancing digital and AI-powered customs solutions, ensuring seamless, transparent, and efficient operations.
